About Where2Wire

Where2Wire was built by an IBEW wireman, for IBEW wiremen. If you’ve ever been laid off and spent hours calling around to different locals trying to figure out where the work is, this site is for you.

We pull together wage rates, book status, benefits, and license reciprocity data from IBEW locals across the country so you can find your next job in minutes instead of days.

Whether you’re a traveling journeyman looking for the best call, an apprentice scoping out what’s ahead, or a working electrician curious about opportunities in other jurisdictions. Where2Wire puts the information you need in one place.

Where the data comes from
IBEW National Jobs Board: Live book status, book counts, referral hours, and wage scales for locals that post to the national board. Scraped daily by our automated pipeline.

Union Pay Scales (unionpayscales.com): Verified CBA wage rates, total package, health & welfare, pension, 401k, vacation, and cost of living data submitted by IBEW members and business agents.

IBEW.org & Individual Local Websites: Base local data including city, state, jurisdiction, and contact info for inside construction locals across all 50 states.

State Licensing Boards & NERA: Reciprocity agreements, application fees, and requirements verified from official state sources and the National Electrical Reciprocal Alliance.

You: Brothers and sisters in the field submit corrections and updates through our Submit an Update page. Every submission is verified before going live.

Data is refreshed daily through our automated pipeline. We currently track locals across states/territories with wage data for of them.

Important disclaimer

Where2Wire is not an official IBEW website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. This is an independent tool built to serve the brotherhood.

Always verify information directly with the local union before making travel or career decisions. Wage rates, book status, and dispatch data can change daily. Reciprocity agreements can change at any time, so confirm with your state licensing board before applying.
